That's Hot Blog Hop

Welcome to GabyCreates
and to the That's Hot Blog Hop
hosted by Yolie

I am your last stop, so hopefully you just arrived from my good friend Melin's Blog

I know that some of you that know me, might be thinking, "oh, she will be creating something with Tom Selleck!" but no, today I created a layout of someone even hotter!  My granddaughter Jasmine!!

Doesn't she just look like a beautiful model? (OK, grandma talking here!)

I used one of the collection's adhesive tags to create my journal tag.  I just adhered to a piece or cardstock and trimmed around and added some twine to pull out. (twine from MME Lime Twist Collection).
I additionally distressed the edges of the journal tag with Tim Holtz' white dabber to match the already distressed look of the paper.
I used the Fancy Pants Beach Babe Collection that you can find at Happy N Scrappin'
(one of our upcoming Link Up For Pink party sponsors!)

Before you leave,
Please come back next week to see what I've created for Peachy Keen Stamps Guest Designer spot (also a sponsor for our LUFP party!)
and for the PSA Essentials Blog Hop as part of my DT with The Scrapbooking Queen all week long!

Yes! I will be double posting Monday thru Friday!

In the Garden Layout

Today I have a sneak peek of a creation I made as a member of the Roberts Arts & Crafts Design Team

I created a two page layout using the "Perfect Pages Kit: Zen Everyday Grid Layout"

I pretty much followed the kit suggestions with the following exceptions:
I inked a little around most embellishments
I added rhinestones
and I stitched around the circles and my layout with blue thread

Hope You can go visit Roberts Arts & Crafts Blog and leave me a comment!

We're Pregnant Layout

I created this layout using the Fancy Pants Baby Mine Collection that you can find over at Happy N Scrappin

This layout is very special because a very dear friend of mine and fellow teacher asked me if I would help her create a scrapbook for her only daughter's baby and her first grandchild!!... after a bit of conversation I offered to create it for her starting with her daughter's pregnancy.  (and the price you might ask? I said I worked for praise, to which she replied: "and a bit of dark chocolate?... she knows me so well! LOL).Here is a closer look at how I used the dabbers to give the title a distress look.

I used my Cricut and several Cricut cartridges including the Phrases one for the title.

You can also find Cricut and Cuttlebug items over at Happy N Scrappin

Thanks for Visiting and taking the time to leave me a comment!
