A Card For Hope - Royal Purple Freedom Blog Hop

Welcome to GabyCreates
and to the Royal Purple Freedom Blog Hop hosted by Faith

Hopefully you just arrived from Sue's Blog, but if you just happened to stop by for a visit and wish to participate, please start at Faith's Blog

About 4.8 million intimate partner-related physical assaults and rapes occur every year while many more assaults and rapes go unreported entirely. Over 3 million children witness violence in their home each year and those who see and hear violence in the home suffer physically and emotionally. These statistics are sad and overwhelming, but help IS out there for those that choose to break the silence.

Together we can make a difference! Help us instill some hope where very little probably exists and give 24 families a chance at recovery when we are able to donate 1k dollars to the Bradley Angle House. Your purple themed card(s) with a hope filled message inside could make all the difference, not to mention give YOU a chance to win the grand prize for this hop...what is it you ask? A prize basket valued at more than $100.

Want more chances to win the grand prize? Additional entries will be given for each $1 donation you include with your card. Would you prefer 1 entry, 10 entries, or is 100 entries more of what you had in mind? It's all up to you! Cards must be postmarked by June 30th for inclusion in basket drawings and can be mailed to the following address:

Royal Purple Hop
c/o Vicki Smith
P.O. Box 1496
Millbrook, NY 12545

Your next stop along the way is Debbie's Blog!!

Grand Prize Basket
1 Peachy Keen Stamps Assortment
1 Verve Gift Certificate (it's $25)
1 Spa Basket (candle, CD, bath soap)

Your card gets you entered into all 4 of those "grand prize" drawings...your financial donation gets you extra entries into the grand prize basket. Hop participants will not be eligible to win any of the prize packages but CAN win the "single" blog candy gifts.
If you wish to take a break or get lost along the way, here is the line up!

A Layout - Lauren

Today is Cooking With Cricut Challenge Wednesday

and I have created a layout to meet today's challenge.
The challenge is "what is your poison"? - Favorite cartridge and favorite color.
If you follow or visit my blog, you probably know that my favorite color is green... and even though I do not have just one favorite Cricut cartridge, Kate's ABC's is what I have been using often to create my titles, plus I do think everything in this cart is just too cute.

I used Kate's ABC's to created my Subway lettering?/Title. I was inspired by a file Kerry Bradford created using a different format other than the Cricut.
Using my Gypsy I was able to weld all the letters with the butterfly while changing the height and width of every single letter (letters/title and butterfly are all one piece). I also cut additional butterflies from the same cart and used around my layout.
Instead of adhering the butterfly's layers/wings with regular adhesive, I used 3D foam.

I used My Mind's Eye Lime Twist 6"x6" inch paper pad.
I cut the outer frame using Cricut Accent Essentials.
Additional items: Vellum, dew drops and I do not know if you can tell, but under the title is the cover of the paper pad (yeap!), I place vellum on top to tone down all the bright colors so that my title will show up better.  Additionally, I cut vellum circles and placed under the butterflies on the left upper part so that they would show up better being placed on top of the busy pattern paper!... clever! don't you think?

You can find My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Collection at Happy N Scrappin'
